The paperolles are a decoration technique using narrow strips of paper gilded on the edge, to form loops, circles and other shuttles, which are glued by the edge on a support to constitute a subject in three dimensions.
The paperolles are made in the convents for the meticulous making of small paintings-reliquaries.
