This reliquary is prior to the canonization of Joseph Oriol (B corresponding to the Beatification, stage preceding the canonization )

Saint Joseph Oriol (1650-1702) was a Catalan priest revered for his piety and devotion to the needy in Barcelona, Spain. He spent his life helping the poor, the sick and prisoners, showing deep compassion. He was renowned for his eloquent preaching and his gifts of healing. His austere life and unwavering faith led him to be considered a saint during his lifetime. After his death his reputation for holiness spread rapidly, and he was canonized in 1909 by Pope Pius X. Today he is honored as the patron saint of the sick and needy.
