ref: #RK00-118Rare reliquary insilver bronze with a beveled glass facade, containing the first-class Ex Ossibus relic of Saint Catherine (Catherine of Alexandria ). The relic is fixed on a fabric background decorated with gold threads and colored stones and it is identified in Latin on a labelhandwritten as S. Catharina
The relic is accompanied by an original "Authentic" document issued and signed by Bishop Nicola Angelo Maria Landini in 1774.
Good used condition with its original glass.

Saint Catherine of Alexandria was a 4th century Christian saint. Coming from a noble family, she was educated in science and philosophy. Converted to Christianity, she defended her faith before Emperor Maximin II and was martyred by being beheaded. She is considered a patron saint of many groups, including students, lawyers, and philosophers. His feast is celebrated on November 25 in the Catholic Church and on November 24 in the Orthodox Churches.
