Saint Caecilius ( Cecil, Cecilius, Cäcilius , Spanish:San Cecilio ) After being cured of blindness by Jesus Christ, was one of the Seven Apostolic Men, disciples of the Apostle Saint James sent in the 1st century to evangelize Hispania by Saint Peter and Saint Paul. He is considered the first bishop of Granada and since the end of the 16th century he has been venerated as the patron saint of Granada and its archdioceses.
