This circular stained glass window depicts Saint Michael the Archangel defeating the dragon, in an iconic scene symbolizing the battle between good and evil. The archangel, haloed and winged, is dressed in knight's armor. In one hand he holds a shield adorned with a cross, and with the other, he drives a long spear into the mouth of a dragon writhing beneath his feet. The composition is framed by a circular border segmented in dark red, enhancing the graphic strength of the piece.
The piece can be dated to the first half of the 20th century, likely around 1930 or 1940. It reflects the neo-Gothic style that remained popular at the time, especially in religious art. The stained glass is made using painted grisaille glass with color highlights and lead cames. Each colored element is a distinct piece of glass, cut, painted, and kiln-fired to fix the pigments, then assembled into a lead framework forming the overall design. The work demonstrates fine craftsmanship and a clear intent to preserve traditional Christian imagery in a form suitable for private homes or small chapels of the 20th century.
