Rare silver-plated bronze reliquary with a glass front bringing together major figures of Christianity: the apostles Peter and Paul, the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, as well as emblematic saints such as Saint Pius V, Saint Dominic and Saint Peter of Verona.

The relics are set in oval compartments edged with twisted silver wire, which highlights them while holding them in place. Their symmetrical arrangement reinforces the sacred aspect of the object. The relics rest on a background of deep red fabric, this color, omnipresent in the Christian liturgy, symbolizes the blood of Christ and his redemptive sacrifice.

The relics are identified in Latin on labels as:

  • From the BVM jacket : Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Jesus (From the dress of the Blessed Virgin Mary.).
  • S. Pii PPV : Saint Pius V, Pope (1566-1572), famous for having implemented the reforms of the Council of Trent and establishing the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
  • S. Petri Ap.: Saint Peter the Apostle, first pope of the Catholic Church.
  • S. Pauli Ap.: Saint Paul the Apostle, missionary and author of several New Testament epistles.
  • S. Josephi Sp.: Saint Joseph, husband of the Virgin Mary and adoptive father of Jesus.
  • S. Dominici C .: Saint Dominic de Guzmán, founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans).
  • S.Petri M .: Saint Peter of Verona (1205-1252), Dominican murdered for his faith, also called Saint Peter Martyr .

The red wax seal affixed by the Church guarantees not only the authenticity of the relic, but also that the reliquary has not been opened and that the relic has not been handled since it was closed. It thus ensures its intact preservation, offering complete certainty as to its provenance and integrity.
