Saint Lawrence, born in Spain in the 3rd century, was a deacon of the Roman Catholic Church. He was known for his charity towards the poor and needy. When the Roman Emperor Valerian demanded that all the treasures of the Church be handed over to him, Lawrence gathered the poor and infirm, claiming that they were the true treasures of the Church. He was martyred by being grilled alive on a grill, and that is why he is often depicted with a grill. Saint Laurent is revered as the patron saint of cooks, roasters, librarians and people in distress. His feast day is celebrated on August 10.

Saint Peter, also known as Simon Peter, was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. He is considered the first pope of the Catholic Church. Originally from Bethsaïda in Galilee, he was a fisherman by profession before responding to the call of Jesus. Peter is known for his strength of character and his confession of faith as the "rock" on which the Church would be built. He played an important role in spreading the Christian message and is considered the patron saint of fishermen. He would have been martyred in Rome and crucified upside down, according to tradition.

Saint Francis of Paola, born in 1416 in Calabria, Italy, was a monk and hermit known for his piety and his gifts of healing. He founded the Ordre des Minimes, a contemplative religious order dedicated to prayer and an austere life. François de Paule was renowned for his prolonged fasts and his ability to cross the seas on foot. Canonized in 1519, he is considered the patron saint of sailors and travellers. His exemplary life and miracles continue to inspire the faithful around the world.
