Exceptional 18th century reliquary in gilded bronze with glass front housing a relic of the true cross. The relic of beautiful size is decorated with gold thread and is surrounded by a row of small pearls and two rows of red corals. It is identified as EX Ligno C DNJC
With its original glass, unopened.
Ecclesiastical wax seal and silk threads present and in place.
This reliquary comes from the old collection of a Hungarian family dating back to the 14th century, it would have belonged to Count Széchenyi .
