Rare reliquary in bronze with a glass facade, containing the relic of Saint John Berchmans. The relic is set on a red fabric background adorned with silver threads and is identified in Latin on a typeface label as B.Ioan.Berchmans .
Good used condition with its original glass.

Jean Berchmans was a Belgian Jesuit born in 1599. He studied philosophy and theology in Louvain and became a novice in 1616. He showed great devotion and commitment to his faith, as well as a talent for teaching children . He died in 1621 at the age of 22 and was canonized in 1888. He is revered today as the patron saint of students.
