Saint Guénolé, also known as Winwaloe, was a 6th century Breton monk. He founded Landévennec Abbey and is considered the patron saint of fishermen. He was also involved in the conversion of Brittany to Christianity. It is said that he performed many miracles during his life, including curing illnesses. He died in 532 and is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church.
