Rare silver reliquary with a glass front, containing the first class relic Ex Ossibus of Saint Guénolé. The relic is fixed on a background of fabrics decorated with silver threads, and it is identified in Latin on a handwritten label as St Guénolé .
Good used condition with its original glass.

Saint Guénolé, also known as Winwaloe, was a 6th century Breton monk. He founded Landévennec Abbey and is considered the patron saint of fishermen. He was also involved in the conversion of Brittany to Christianity. It is said that he performed many miracles during his life, including curing illnesses. He died in 532 and is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church.
