Saint Francis Régis Clet, a French Catholic priest, shone through his courage and devotion as a missionary in China during a tumultuous period. His youth in Grenoble, immersed in the Catholic tradition, prepared him for his missionary vocation. Ordained priest in 1771, he joined the Vincentians, showing dedication to the mission and service of the poor. His call to mission in China led him to overcome cultural and political challenges. Despite persecution, he remained firm in his faith until his martyrdom in 1820. Beatified in 1900 and canonized in 2000, his legacy continues to inspire Christians around the world.
