Rare bronze reliquary with a bevelled glass front, containing the first class Ex Ossibus relics of Saint Barbara, Saint Anne and Saint Carina. The relics are fixed on a fabric background decorated with gold threads and pearls and they are identified in Latin on handwritten labels as St Barbara V:M: , St Anna MV:M: , St: Carine V:M .

Good used condition with its original glass.

Saint Barbara is a 3rd century Christian martyr. She is the daughter of Dioscorus, a rich pagan who sequesters her in a tower to protect her from men. She converted to Christianity and was beheaded by her own father in 306. Saint Barbara is considered the patroness of gunners, miners and engineers. She is also revered by sailors and firefighters. His feast day is celebrated on December 4 in the Catholic liturgical calendar.

Saint Anne was a 2nd century AD Christian who lived in Asia Minor. She was persecuted for her faith and died a martyr. It is said that she was thrown into a fire, but miraculously survived. She was eventually beheaded for refusing to renounce her Christian faith. Saint Anne is venerated by the Catholic Church as a holy martyr and her feast day is July 26.

Saint Carina was a 4th century AD Christian who lived in Egypt. She was arrested and tortured for her Christian faith under Emperor Maxentius. It is said that she suffered terrible tortures, such as the cogwheel and fire, but miraculously survived. Eventually, she was beheaded for refusing to renounce her Christian faith. Saint Carina is venerated by the Catholic Church as a holy martyr and her feast day is November 25.
