ref: #RK00-130Rare silver reliquary with a bevelled glass front, containing the first class Ex Ossibus relic of Saint Anthony. The relic is fixed on a background of fabrics decorated with gold threads, and it is identified in Latin on a handwritten label as S.Antonii Pata .

Saint Anthony of Padua was a 12th century Franciscan priest. Born in Portugal, he joined the Franciscan order in search of holiness and was sent to Italy to continue his studies. He became famous for his preaching and his ability to convert heretics and sinners. Saint Anthony is also known for his reputation as a miracle worker, performing many miracles during his life. He is revered as the patron saint of lost objects and is celebrated annually on June 13. Saint Anthony is considered one of the greatest saints of the Catholic Church.
