Saint Pacificus of San Severino (1653-1721) was an Italian Franciscan priest known for his life of austerity and contemplation. He joined the Franciscans at a young age and led a life marked by prayer, penance, and great humility. Suffering from chronic illnesses, he bore his suffering patiently, offering everything to God. Endowed with mystical gifts, including visions and prophecies, he was also renowned for his deep devotion to the Eucharist. He spent the last years of his life in silent prayer and was canonized in 1839 by Pope Gregory XVI . His feast day is September 24 and is venerated as a model of faith and resilience.
