Saint Mary Magdalene de Pazzi (1566-1607) was an Italian mystic and nun, a member of the Discalced Carmelite Order. Born in Florence, she is known for her profound spiritual experiences, marked by mystical visions and ecstasies that brought her closer to God. From childhood, she felt a call to religious life and entered the Discalced Carmelite convent at the age of 16. Her life was marked by great devotion and intense contemplative prayer. She wrote letters and meditations that testify to her profound mystical experience and her intimate relationship with Christ. Saint Mary Magdalene de Pazzi is also known for her spiritual guidance and her influence on the reform of Carmel. She was canonized in 1669, and her feast day is celebrated on May 25.
