Saint Eurosia is a young martyr venerated mainly in Aragon and southern France.
According to tradition, she was a princess born in Bohemia, betrothed to a Christian prince of Spain. On her way to her wedding, she was attacked near Jaca by Saracens who sought to force her to renounce her faith. Courageously refusing, she suffered martyrdom in the 10th century, beaten to death in the mountains.
Her cult quickly spread in the Pyrenees, where she is invoked against storms and bad weather. She is particularly honored in Jaca, where her relics are preserved in the cathedral.
Saint Eurosia remains a symbol of purity, Christian steadfastness, and heavenly protection in times of trial.
