Rare silver reliquary with a glass front containing the relic of Saint Ambrose. The relic is carefully fixed at the center of an elegant setting. It rests on a red fabric background — a color omnipresent in Christian liturgy, symbolizing the blood of Christ and his redemptive sacrifice. It is mounted on a small diamond-shaped piece of paper or parchment, and a finely crafted silver trim frames the entire piece.

Below it, a parchment label bears the inscription "S. Ambrosii Ep. D.", confirming the identity of the saint whose relic is preserved.

"S. Ambrosii Ep. D." → Saint Ambrose, bishop and Doctor of the Church (Sancti Ambrosii Episcopi Doctoris),

The outer frame features raised motifs, showcasing delicate artisanal craftsmanship.

Ecclesiastical seal and silk threads present.

Saint Ambrose (c. 340–397) was one of the great Fathers of the Latin Church and Archbishop of Milan. Born into a noble Christian family, he became governor of the region before being acclaimed bishop by the people. He played a central role in the fight against Arianism, firmly defending the Catholic faith. A brilliant orator and profound writer, he greatly influenced Christian thought, particularly that of Saint Augustine, whom he baptized. Ambrose also composed liturgical hymns and developed the Milanese liturgy. His moral authority deeply shaped both the Church and the Roman Empire. He is recognized as a Doctor of the Church and is celebrated on December 7.
