Angelo Mazzinghi was born in Florence around 1377 and entered the Carmelites at a very young age. A fervent religious, he was one of the first members of the Carmelite Observance in Italy, which sought to return to a more austere life, faithful to the primitive rule. He distinguished himself by his piety, his preaching, and his exemplary obedience. His life was marked by a deep devotion to the Virgin Mary and great charity towards the poor. His contemporaries esteemed him as a model of holiness and simplicity. He died in Florence in 1438, surrounded by a reputation for virtue. The Church recognized him as Blessed, and his memory is honored on October 17.
