Rare reliquary in bronze with a glass front containing the first-class Ex Ossibus relic of Saint Catherine ( Catherine of Alexandria ). The relic is fixed on a fabric background decorated with gold, silver and quilling threads, it is identified in Latin on a label typed as S. Catharinae VM

Good used condition with its original glass.

Saint Catherine of Alexandria was a 4th century Christian saint. Coming from a noble family, she was educated in science and philosophy. Converted to Christianity, she defended her faith before Emperor Maximin II and was martyred by being beheaded. She is considered a patron saint of many groups, including students, lawyers, and philosophers. His feast is celebrated on November 25 in the Catholic Church and on November 24 in the Orthodox Churches.
