Saint Louis de Gonzague (1568-1591) was a young Italian nobleman who gave up his wealth to become a Jesuit. He spent his life helping the poor and sick, before dying of the plague serving the victims of the epidemic in Rome. He is venerated as the patron saint of youth and Catholic youth.
