PERIOD : 18th century around 1770
SIZE : 49cm X 35.5cm (engraving)
SIZE : 19.3" X 14"

This print is inspired by the very spectacular engraving that Callot made in the last years of his life.
It represents Saint-Antoine raising the cross, prey to the attack of a cloud of demons who assail it, in the ruins of an imaginary palace.
In the sky, Satan himself, the monster par excellence, spits out thousands of devils , while the whole board is bathed in a spooky atmosphere.
